Round 6, 40th Pick: Chucky Hunter, DT

With their last pick in the sixth round the Texans select defensive tackle Chucky Hunter.

We all know how good the Texan’s defensive line is and how much better it just got this year with Vince Wilfork joining the ranks as well as Clowney hopefully returning at full health by the preseason match ups.

We can never have too many backups though, i.e. Jared Crick. The Houston depth chart is amazing at producing backup players who are continually developing similarly to their starting counterparts. Crick has been able to come into games and swat balls down, rush quarterbacks and stop running backs for a loss.

I see no reason why Chucky Hunter couldn’t be expected to come onto the team to do the same.
