The staff of the Toro Times have made their Super Bowl 55 predictions before the big game takes place later on Sunday evening as the AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs look to repeat as Super Bowl champions against the NFC champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The two quarterbacks in this game are no strangers to the Houston Texans either as Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has won his last two meetings against the Texans, while Tampa Bay quarterback Tom Brady won more than he lost against the Texans in the past as the quarterback of the New England Patriots.

The Texans faced the Chiefs this past season where it was Kansas City winning 34-20 in the season opener on Sept. 10. In that game, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes passed for 211 yards on 24 completions with three touchdowns and no interceptions.

As for the last time the Texans faced Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, it came back on Dec. 1, 2019 as the Texans defeated the Patriots, 28-22 in a season-defining win by the Texans at that time. In that game, Brady passed for 326 yards on 24 completions with three touchdowns and one interception.

Looking at the past of both Mahomes and Brady against the Texans is important because everyone should realize how fortunate both the Buccaneers and Chiefs are to have a quarterback who plays at an elite level, or a quarterback who is one of the greatest of all-time and still is one of the best in the game.

It is foolish to ever want to trade a quarterback who plays at an elite level because they are very tough to come by.

Tonight’s Super Bowl 55 game features the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs who are trying to be come the first team to repeat as Super Bowl champions since Brady and his former Patriots teams did so in Super Bowls 38 and 39. It is kind of fun that Brady is on the opposite side as the Chiefs want to join an elite list Brady and his former team are on.

Super Bowl 55 Predictions: Chiefs vs. Buccaneers

As always with the final game of the NFL season, predicting the Super Bowl is always one of the more exciting parts of getting ready for the “Big Game.” This year’s Super Bowl according to The Action Network has the Chiefs with a -3 favorite.

The staff of the Toro Times also had some fun with the pre-Super Bowl 55 festivities and made game winner and score predictions. Here are our Super Bowl 55 predictions:

Stephen Forsha: 32-27, Chiefs

Cory Kinnan: 38-24, Chiefs

Neal Sharma: 34-30, Chiefs

Brian Emory: 30-24, Chiefs

Pavithr Goli: 34-13, Chiefs

Josh Anderson: 33-31, Buccaneers

Logan Graham: 35-24, Chiefs

That gives the predictions scorecard six Super Bowl 55 predictions for the Chiefs to win and one Super Bowl 55 prediction for the Buccaneers to win. If Tampa Bay does win, not only will it be their second championship in franchise history (their first since 2002), but quarterback Tom Brady will earn his seventh championship.

These two teams have all the makings to have an exciting game, and with the betting odds so close it is basically a coin flip as to who will be the winner of this game. As all of us know both quarterbacks are two of the very best to play the game at any point in the history of the NFL, which is a rare happening to watch face each other in the final game of the season.
