Free Agents Signed

Kenyan Drake, RB

If the Texans want to make a splash in free agency and save some of their draft picks for other positions, adding Kenyan Drake to the high-powered offense of Deshaun Watson, DeAndre Hopkins, Will Fuller and others could really put them over the top.

Drake showed what he is capable of during his time with the Arizona Cardinals in the second half of the season, and overall in ’19 with the Cardinals and Miami Dolphins he had 170 carries for 817 yards and eight touchdowns. With Arizona, Drake had 123 carries for 643 yards and all eight of his touchdown runs in eight games. Drake also caught 28 passes for 171 yards in eight games with the Cardinals, and with Miami his totals were 22 receptions for 174 yards.

Drake is a complete back that the Texans need, and Spotrac.com has Drake with a market value annual salary of $5.5 million per season with a four-year contract of $22.276 million.

Vic Beasley, DE

If the Texans are in the market for a defensive end maybe the 27-year old Vic Beasley is the answer. Sportac.com has the market value of Beasley at $7.3 million for an annual salary with a three-year deal of $22.070 million.

This signing is a long shot to happen, and the Atlanta Falcons must not have believed in him, but maybe the Texans could do another one-year “prove it deal” they are used to doing and get a good solid season from Beasley.
