3. Mike Borgonzi

Mike Borgonzi would be a very exciting hire by the Houston Texans if it could occur because of the momentum had by the Kansas City Chiefs Director of Player Personnel.

Matt Miller of BleacherReport.com wrote this in mid-May about Borgonzi as his future of being a NFL general manager candidate:

"“Borgonzi, like (Chris) Ballard before him, is known as a very thorough evaluator, but he’s also praised for the type of staff he’ll build … Borgonzi is expected to be that kind of thinker who will put the good of the team over his ego.”"

If the learning tree aspect means anything in the NFL, well, Borgonzi could be the “next big thing” in the circles of being a general manager in the NFL as he’s worked with not only Chris Ballard (who is the GM of the Indianapolis Colts), and veteran head coach Andy Reid.

Borgonzi has worked with a successful organization like the Chiefs, head coach Andy Reid and he was a part of the front office that drafted current NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes.

It isn’t sure if Boronzi can be interviewed by the Texans as the Chiefs will have to grant permission, but if the Texans want to find a young GM who seemingly has the talent to be in that position, Boronzi could be their guy.
