4. Scott Fitterer

Here is another person in an NFL front office who has had previous interviews for vacant general manager jobs in the past, including in 2019 and that is Scott Fitterer, who is currently the co-director of player personnel  for the Seattle Seahawks.

If there is one thing we all know about the Seahawks, it is that they know how to find players and develop them, which would be something exciting for the Texans as in some years that has been an issue, most recently on the offensive line.

Eric Allen, a senior reporter of NewYorkJets.com recently wrote that the Jets had interviewed Fitterer for their then-vacant GM position, which was filled on Friday when the Jets hired Joe Douglas away from the Philadelphia Eagles. Allen wrote the following:

"“Fitterer, who has worked for the Seahawks since 2001, currently serves as Seattle’s co-director of player personnel alongside Trent Kirchner. While both men oversee the college and pro departments, Fitterer has spent more time on the college side throughout his career.”"

This would be an interesting hire for the Texans, but Fitterer has previous interview experience with two other interviews in 2017, and he knows the college scouting part of the game.

This would be a huge factor in the Texans adding to the roster in the future. Also, Fitterer comes from an organization who has high expectations to win, so that has to be a part of Fitterer as well.
