2. A revamped and motivated offensive line

If the 2019 version of the Houston Texans offensive line isn’t motivated to be improved following the performance of the 2018 season, well there are bigger problems for the franchise than first imagined.

That said, there should be no reason why that unit isn’t motivated for the 2019 season as players are returning after injuries, rookies will bring new competition, and all involved from last season know what needs to be dome to be a better overall unit this upcoming season.

We all know the sack numbers allowed by the Texans in 17 games — including the playoff game — which was 65 total, but there is light at the end of the tunnel as the franchise’s front office and coaching staff drafted two offensive linemen whom they believe will eventually make this front five exciting an competitive for years to come.

There is tackle Seantrel Henderson, who was basically injured for all of last season, the rookies — Max Scharping and Tytus Howard — who can play varying roles on the offensive line, plus veterans Julién Davenport and Matt Kalil who will also be fighting for a starter’s role. There is also center Nick Martin, who will most likely stay at that spot in 2019.

Anyway it is looked upon, the Texans are working to improve their offensive line, and if they can play better than last season, well, that will make the offense as a whole exciting to watch and make Deshaun Watson a better quarterback in his third NFL season.
