The 2019 NFL Draft starts this Thursday, and for the Houston Texans it is still up in the air publicly who they will be selecting with the 23rd overall pick and with the remainder of their picks.

NFL Draft week is finally here, and the Houston Texans have a big opportunity in front of them to make their franchise much improved and competitive as they begin the task of getting back to the playoffs and having success once getting there.

This Thursday the Texans have possession of the 23rd overall draft selection in the 2019 NFL Draft, and to be honest, they could use that selection in a variety of ways depending on whether the player they are targeting is still on the board.

More from Houston Texans Draft

Houston has two major needs on their roster that need much focus, and those are improving the offensive line and improving the secondary, especially at cornerback. How the Texans decide to achieve that is up to them, but at some point they do need to find the correct players who can make a mark on the roster, and not only that, but make a mark early on in their NFL career, because the Texans are gearing to win right now with how they’ve built on some of the skilled positions in recent seasons.

In recent drafts the Texans have added offensive players such as quarterback Deshaun Watson, wide receiver Keke Coutee and wide receiver Will Fuller, plus a little further back in their draft history DeAndre Hopkins was selected in the first round and is now possibly the very best wide receiver in the entire NFL.

Houston can’t afford to make incorrect decisions when it comes to adding to their roster when it comes to the NFL Draft, so for one last time this offseason, here is the fourth and final seven-round Texans mock draft by the Toro Times.
