Kyler Murray was drafted first overall in 2019 in hopes of being the first Cardinals player to bring the team a Super Bowl and the team’s first MVP. Three years into that, they couldn’t be further from their goal.
Murray has started off well the past three seasons but suffered a miserable collapse down the stretch. Much of that is due to injuries all across the board (and incompetent coaching by Kliff Kingsbury).
Murray is ranked ahead of Carr just because of his ability to scramble and make more plays, but they haven’t brought in anyone to help Murray this offseason. The Cardinals have been one of the quietest teams in free agency in 2022, which is very uncharacteristic of GM Steve Keim.
DeAndre Hopkins, James Conner, and Zach Ertz all have their work cut out for them.
