Ranking all 32 NFL Quarterbacks after 2022 Free Agency
22nd in the 2022 NFL Quarterbacks power rankings:
The Houston Texans’ very own Davis Mills lands at 22. Mills threw more touchdowns (16) than Zach Wilson did last year (9). Mills also finished second in completion percentage behind New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones.
To top it off, Mills did it with arguably the worst roster out of any rookie passer last season. However, with Houston surprisingly securing Brandin Cooks for a few more years with an extension, the coaching staff in Houston now has big expectations for their young quarterback in 2022.
Mills has a chance to lock down the starting job for years if he performs well this year. Getting help on the offensive line is crucial for Houston’s success as they ranked dead last in rushing yards last season.
The rushing game was so bad that they only had 75 more rushing yards than the 2002 expansion team. Mills will have the Texans much better this year and maybe in the hunt for a wild card spot.
