WEEK 8

vs. Los Angeles Rams

  • Date: Sunday, Oct. 31
  • Time: noon CST
  • TV: FOX

Houston brings in a tough matchup against the gun-slinging Matthew Stafford and his new crop of receivers. If the Texans can get some pressure on the Rams early this game could be closer than expected.

Stafford will have plenty of time by now to develop chemistry with his new teammates and that will ultimately be the deciding factor in this one.

Prediction: Texans loss (3-5)

WEEK 9

at Miami Dolphins

  • Date: Sunday, Nov. 7
  • Time: noon CST
  • TV: FOX

A team that Houston fans have heard all too much about with their possible connections to a Deshaun Watson trade, the Miami Dolphins host the Texans in an early November contest. The Dolphins will come into this one with an above .500 record and looking to make a run for the playoffs, while the Texans are going to be trying to just tread water.

With tua Tagovailoa at quarterback Miami will get the better of Houston in South Beach.

Prediction: Texans loss (3-6)

WEEK 10

Bye Week

WEEK 11

at Tennessee Titans

  • Date: Sunday, Nov. 21
  • Time: noon CST
  • TV: CBS

Division rival Tennessee hosts the Texans in a Week 11 game that will feature a team at the top of the AFC South, and a team at the bottom of the AFC South.

The Titans have won the last three meetings against Houston and it seems that former Texans defensive coordinator Mike Vrabel has his former employees number in recent matchups. That trend will continue and the Titans will aim to expand their lead in the division.

Prediction: Texans loss (3-7)

WEEK 12

vs. New York Jets

  • Date: Sunday, Nov. 28
  • Time: noon CST
  • TV: CBS

An intriguing contest in Week 12 against two teams that both feature new head coaches and new quarterbacks. It is still unclear whether the Texans will have Tyrod Taylor or Davis Mills as their starting quarterback at this point in the season.

The Jets will feature the rookie with high expectations in Zach Wilson out of BYU. In a game that will have many similarities, look for the Texans faithful to help propel the team to victory.

Prediction: Texans win (4-7)

WEEK 13

vs. Indianapolis Colts

  • Date: Sunday, Dec. 5
  • Time: noon CST
  • TV: CBS

The second meeting against the Colts could hold playoff implications for Indianapolis at this point in the season as they will be in the wild card hunt.

The Colts defense will continue to keep them in games against better opponents and will help them dominate inferior opponents. If the Colts hold the Texans run game to a minimum amount of production, Houston could have a problem.

Prediction: Texans loss (4-8)
