The additions of Justin Reid and Tyrann Mathieu

In addition to Mathieu, Justin Reid has also made an important impact. Reid, a rookie from Stanford University, was selected in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Reid was a projected to be a first or early second round pick, but the Texans were fortunate to come up with Reid in the third round. Reid has made his impact in his first season in the league.

Throughout the first 10 games of the season, Reid has started six games at safety and has 52 combined tackles and has recovered a fumble. In addition, Reid leads the defense with three interceptions and has seven passes defended.
