Houston Texans’ defensive lineman J.J. Watt ranks high on another list.

Texans star defensive lineman J.J. Watt already made the NFL Network’s top-100 list as he came in at No. 35 overall.

Now Watt has been named to Pro Football Focus’ top-50 list.

Watt comes in at No. 2 overall on the list, right behind Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald who’s PFF’s No. 1 overall player.

"The injury-marred 2016 from Watt harms his case, but even his 2015 season was a slight step back from the three previous years of unparalleled dominance, and that’s why he is pipped to the No. 1 spot by Donald. Watt at his best is the best player in the game, and utterly dominant as both a pass-rusher and run defender playing inside and on the edge for the Houston defense. He has notched 440 total pressures over his NFL career and 319 defensive stops, and has the PFF record for total pressures over a season, with a ludicrous 119 in 2014."

This list is very interesting since the top-rated quarterback is Tom Brady of the New England Patriots, who’s ranked No. 3.

Just like with the top-100 list, I have a hard time ranking Watt so high after two back surgeries.

I would have put Watt in the 40’s on this list, instead at No.2 just because he needs to prove to me that he still can be the NFL’s most disruptive defensive lineman.
