Good morning Houston! Only two more days until free agency finally kicks off and it continues to look like A.J. Bouye won’t be back. Unless the Houston Texans rob a Brinks truck.
For those who want the Texans to re-sign tight end Ryan Griffin, the good news is both sides are hoping something will get done.
No surprise here, but the Texans are still linked to Tony Romo.
Here’s some Texans news from around the web:
T.J. Watt “only scratching the surface” [HoustonTexans.com – Drew Dougherty]
If Watt is really only scratching the surface, he may end up being as good as big brother, J.J. Watt. It’s going to be interesting to see where he gets drafted.
Texans should focus on getting a QB with their free-agency budget [ESPN.com – Sarah Barshop]
Sarah Barshop lays out what she believes the Texans need to do in free agency this offseason. I agree with two of her three points.
Combine watch: Budda Baker solidifies first-round potential [Texans Wire – Jeff Risdon]
Baker was impressive at the scouting combine and might be available when the Texans are picking at 25. I would rather not see Houston use their first round pick on a safety though.

Texans find an improving QB class but weak OTs at combine [Houston Chronicle – John McClain]
I wonder if this means the Texans will lean towards using their first round pick on a quarterback over an offensive lineman.
NFL Network’s Rich Eisen runs 6.02 40 in annual charity run [Houston Chronicle – Aaron Wilson]
I don’t think Rich Eisen will ever beat six seconds.
