4 possible landing spots for A.J.Bouye
San Francisco 49ers
Like the Browns, the 49ers have a lot of cap room and not a lot of talent on their roster.
San Francisco has around $81 million to work with this offseason and I’m sure new head coach Kyle Shanahan is ready to build through free agency.
The Niners have to make an upgrade at the cornerback position heading into next season. Tramaine Brock and Jimmie Ward are solid, but a player like A.J. Bouye would provide a huge boost.
Ward had a rating of 75.8 and Lynch came in at 81.8, according to Pro Football Focus. Which isn’t bad, but Bouye had a rating of 90.9.
With the NFL being such a pass heavy league, teams need three good corners and right now the 49ers don’t have anyone behind Brock and Ward that are good enough to help them get back to being one of the top defenses in the NFL.
Being a former defensive back, I’m sure 49ers general manager John Lynch knows the value of having a very good secondary.
