Houston Texans: When does the 2016 training camp begin?

The Houston Texans are just about to get their 2016 training camp started, we have starting dates here as well as the dates for dates open to the public
It’s almost time Houston Texans fans! Football is just around the corner, and for those of us who can’t wait for any sign of football at all, the start of training camp will be a wonderful sight. So when exactly does training camp start for the Houston Texans?

For the veterans, we still have a little bit of time but the rookies will be getting started in just a couple of days. The rookie reporting date for camp Monday July 25th.
The veterans will reports at the end of the week though, as they are slated to be at the Methodist Training Center next to NRG Stadium on Saturday the 30th of July. The first official practice of camp will take place the following day, Sunday the 31st.

That practice will be the first of six which will be open to the public. Those dates (which can be found via the team’s official website) are;
"Six training camp practice sessions will be open to the public at the Houston Methodist Training Center: Sun., July 31; Tue.-Wed., Aug. 2-3; Sat.-Sun., Aug. 6-7 and Thur., Aug. 18 for a joint practice against the New Orleans Saints. From Aug. 11-13, the Texans will travel to Santa Clara, Calif. for joint practices with the San Francisco 49ers.Open practices will begin at 8:30 or 8:55 a.m. CT. Gates will open to fans at 7 a.m. on Sunday, July 31 and one hour prior to the remaining practices with lines forming on Murworth Drive. The NFL Clear Bag Policy will be in effect for all practice sessions open to the public."
Tickets for these open camp dates will be free, but need to be picked up in advance. They are available via the team’s website here.
