Kicker
Randy Bullock – 5’9″, 206 pounds, 25 years old, 4th NFL season
After a horrid 2013 season where Bullock missed nine kicks, he recovered nicely in 2014 where he hit 30 of his 35 attempts during the season. Houston seems content here as no competition was brought in to push Bullock.
Punter
Shane Lechler – 6’2″, 237 pounds, 38 years old, 16th NFL season
One of the best punters in the history of the game here, no one is challenging him. Any other punter on the team during camp and preseason is simply a guy allowing the team to keep Lechler fresh.
Long snapper
Jon Weeks – 5’10”, 242 pounds, 29 years old, 6th NFL season
After going undrafted in 2008 out of Baylor, Weeks was unable to make the Detroit Lions roster. He spent two years out of the league before finding his role with Houston in 2010. His name is never heard during games, and for a long snapper, that is all you need.
Return specialist
Chandler Worthy – 5’8″, 176 pounds, 22 years old, 1st NFL season
The team has a guy here that reminds me of former return man Trindon Holliday, and he could give Houston a similar spark in the return game.
With a logjam at receiver, finding a niche here would be vital to Worthy making the 53-man roster. With his incredible speed I see this being the perfect role for him.
