Player: Derek Carr
School: Fresno State
Height: 6-3
Weight: 218 pounds
Draft Projection: 1st/2nd round
Senior Bowl Team: South

Carr is the highest-rated senior QB in the draft, as he’s the fourth-rated QB in the draft, trailing underclassmen Teddy Bridgewater, Blake Bortles and Johnny Manziel, but don’t overlook Carr in this draft.

In recent Senior Bowl news on his CBS Sports draft page, it says of Carr, as written by Dane Brugler:

"“As expected, Fresno State QB Derek Carr has clearly separated himself as the top passer in Mobile with his top-shelf arm strength, athleticism and overall feel for the game. He hasn’t been perfect and needs to iron out a few of his bad habits, but the arm talent and competitive drive are there for him to be a starter in the league.”"

I believe Carr will be selected in the first round, but I’m not so sure he’ll be a Houston Texans QB unless he is available in the second round and the Texans skipped on a QB in round one.
