Another FSU player I want to profile is defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan, a 6-2, 298-pound junior who is projected to be selected in the second round.

Jernigan is the third overall rated DT and 26th overall rated player in the Board. The DT was All-ACC first-team.

Dan Brugler of CBS Sports said in late November of Jernigan:

"“Stays light on his feet with good movement skills for a 300-pounder, showing smooth hips and fluid lateral range to work up and down the line of scrimmage. Jernigan does a nice job using his hands and footwork to sidestep blockers and collapse gaps."

His weaknesses were described as:

"“Jernigan needs to improve his snap anticipation and is too often the last lineman to move off the ball. “"

Jernigan could be a solid pick in the second round for the Texans. Anything that can get pressure off JJ Watt can only make the Texans a better defensive unit.
