Today, a very confident Bob McNair told the media that a deal will be completed with wide receiver Andre Johnson in two weeks. But it’s also thought to be near completion, and it could be done in less than a couple days. Johnson’s extention would make him the highest paid wide receiver in the NFL. Johnson, who sat out a few days of OTA’s in May, has had to be present at practices for the Texans to allow negotiations. Johnson has been in attendance at almost every offseason workout, and now it’s about to pay off.

Also on the radar is recently release former Bills defensive end Aaron Schobel. Earlier there was speculation that Schobel could be headed to Houston. Now those speculations appear closer to reality. In continuing developments, it is clear that Schobel wants to be near his home town of Houston so that it could also be easier on his family situation. To this point, Schobel has showed interest in only one team to play for this season, the Texans. He would also like to be reunited with one of his closest friend, former Bills and current Texans defensive line coach Bill Kollar. It is very likely at this point that Schobel will either play for the Texans this season or end up retiring.
