Training camp for the Houston Texans has gotten underway in West Virginia, and all eyes are on the quarterbacks.

Currently, three-year veteran Tom Savage is listed as the starter with 2012 first round draft pick Brandon Weeden and rookie Dashaun Watson right behind him. Regardless of who is starting under center come opening day on September 10th against the Jacksonville Jaguars at NRG Stadium, their favorite pass-catcher is most likely to be Pro Bowl wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

Hopkins, who comes off a 954 receiving yards and 4 touchdown year, seems to be throwing his support behind Savage in the ongoing quarterback battle as he raved about the chemistry he has had with the University Of Pittsburgh product thus far as we approach pre-season:

"“I think Tom (Savage) and I completed every ball he threw,” Hopkins said."

Hopkins and Savage appear to have developed quite the bond as not only teammates, but close friends off the field – which will hopefully translate well into their performances on the gridiron:

"“We got together in Philadelphia and threw a couple days, and we also communicated the whole offseason just about football and personal (things),” Hopkins said. “More so just about me and him, what’s going on in our lives. His daughter, my daughter, stuff like that.“That’s big because he’s the quarterback. He keeps the ship running, and I’m the No. 1 wide receiver. Everything goes though us and (running back) Lamar Miller and other guys out there that are key players on the offense.”"

“Nuk” also commented on how the offense was looking as a whole, citing that his fellow teammates have been showing their hard offseason work out on the practice field:

"“I think we’re at a good point. You can tell guys have been working in the offseason, doing things they needed to work on, and it showed today.”"
