Aaron Williams and Jaiquawn Jarrett don’t seem to be the answer the Texans are looking for at safety.
After failing to acquire a safety earlier this offseason to replace veteran Quintin Demps, the Houston Texans looked at a couple of veterans this week in Aaron Williams and Jaiquawn Jarrett.
Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle is reporting that the Texans will not be signing either Jarrett or Williams as of right now.
"The Texans didn’t immediately strike deals for veteran safeties Aaron Williams and Jaiquawn Jarrett and are expected to continue contemplating their options at the position heading into training camp, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly."
Jarrett ended up participating in the Texans’ minicamp practices on Tuesday and Wednesday while Williams came in for a visit on Thursday.

I’m sure if the Texans felt like Jarrett or Williams could help the back-end of their defense right away they would have signed either player. But that’s not the case.
Right now it looks like Houston is ready to go into training camp and the preseason with the safeties they currently have and wait and see how things shake out.
