The Houston Texans are kicking the tires on former Texas Longhorns star defensive back Aaron Williams.

The Houston Texans still have a hole in the back-end of their defense after losing veteran Quintin Demps to the Chicago Bears in free agency this offseason.

Even though veteran cornerback Kareem Jackson has been working at safety during OTA”s, the Texans are clearly still looking for some help.

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reported on Monday that former Buffalo Bills safety Aaron Williams is visiting with the Texans.

"Former Bills safety Aaron Williams to visit the Texans on Thursday, according to sources. Former Longhorn standout healthy now, per source."

The 27 year-old Williams was selected in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Bills.

Williams signed a four-year 26 million contract extension with the Bills in 2014.

The Bills released Williams back on March 9th.

Williams suffered a serious neck injury in week seven of last season, but is now reportedly healthy and ready to go.

Williams has recorded 257 tackles, two forced fumbles and seven interceptions during his NFL career.

Williams of course played his college ball at the University of Texas where he was a stand out player. He had four interceptions during his collegiate career with the Longhorns.

Williams is a talented player and would be a big help for the Texans if he can of course stay healthy.
