Reaction to DeShone Kizer’s Notre Dame pro day
DaShone Kizer is one of the top-rated quarterbacks in this year’s draft, but he’s also a wild card like everyone else at his position.
I mentioned earlier today that the Houston Texans were attending Notre Dame’s pro day, which would give them a good look at quarterback DeShone Kizer.
It sounds like Kizer looked good, considering the circumstances.
Here’s some reaction from Kizer’s performance.

With Kizer projected to go anywhere between high in the first round to possibly in the second round, I wonder if the Texans would take him over Patrick Mahomes, if both are on the board when they pick at 25.

Mahomes has the best arm in the draft, but Kizer’s footwork is superior to Mahomes’.
The Texans as well as every other NFL team have the difficult task is trying to figure out which quarterback prospect has the best chance of succeeding at the NFL level. It depends on how much teams believe they can help each quarterback improve at the next level.
One thing is for, there’s no way Kizer will slip to the second half of the second round. If he drops out of the first round, he likely won’t get very far.
