The Texans have some good news for their upcoming game in Cleveland. Brian Cushing and Jadeveon Clowney have both made progress and are looking to play Sunday. Obviously the nature of their injuries means that there is a chance one or both won’t suit up however things are certainly looking up.

The same cannot be said for running back Arian Foster. Despite his public claims he plans on playing Sunday coach Bill O’Brien doesn’t sound as sure. No. I think we’ll see. That’s definitely going to be a game time decision. That will be a guy that we have to work out before the game.” Was his response when asked if Foster would play.  Foster suffered a groin injury against the Eagles that has kept him out of practice all week so far.

Foster’s health, the weather Sunday is calling for cold winds and possible snow. Should this pan out the Texans need a healthy Foster. Alfred Blue is still a rookie and asking him to step up in such a big match is asking a lot. Ryan Mallett’s first NFL start could be one that sees his biggest strength, his arm nullified by mother nature.

In other down news, the Texans released linebacker Zac Diles, but they brought up Max Bullough, a preseason success for the Texans who will get his chance to prove he belongs on the 53 man roster. Bullough is a product of MSU where he was a stand out on defense. He signed with the Texans as an undrafted free agent.
