Greetings Texans Fans!

The pain is over! Cheers for the end of the season, sadly the first time this football fan has been happy to see the NFL season close.

Partially the joyous feelings are from the end of this miserable 2013 campaign, however, it also means the start of a new era in Houston. Penn State’s Bill O’Brien is apparently in serious talks to take the helm in Houston. Expect this to happen this week if it happens. The Texans appear intent on burying 2013 and getting ready for 2014 as fast as possible.

Who can blame them?

It was mentioned during the games broadcast that Rick Smith was out watching Teddy Bridgewater play, that shouldn’t been seen as “this is who Houston wants,” but it certainly brings some weight to the matter.

However, anything short of the first pick of the draft… oh sorry writing as the game is on just watched Matt Schaub throw a beautiful pass to a Tennessee player late in the fourth.

I guess we have the first pick of the draft after all!

Now we can start the speculation, who is Houston going to gun for? Bridgewater? Clowney? Manziel? Can the Texans re-sign J.J. Watt? Who is going to replace Tate as the number two back behind Arian Foster?

Fear not friends, this won’t be a dull off season for the Texans. After the storm comes the sun, that sun will shine in 2014 with a very new look Texans team … unless they decide Wade Phillips is the man to lead the team, something tell me though that won’t be the case.

There is far too much broken in the Texans system to not clear out most of the staff and start off on a new foot.

Keep your browsers here to the Torotimes, we’re going to be right busy all winter for you, so stay tuned it’s gonna be a fun ride guys!
