Peyton Manning is really good at football and the Houston Texans found out first hand on Sunday, as he not only threw four touchdown passes, but the Denver Broncos defeated the Texans, 37-13 in their Week 16 game.

Manning with his four TDs also set the all-time single season record for touchdown passes with 51 … and counting. Manning also surpassed the 5,000-yard mark for the first time in his Hall of Fame career.

The Texans, now with 13th consecutive loses, were a total embarrassment on offense and their defense fought hard, but were just on the field too much to last against a player the caliber of Manning.

Think about how hard it is to lose 13 games in a row in the NFL. Realy think about it.

The Texans (2-13) have become masters at it, and they have one more opportunity to add to their streak next week when they travel to Nashville to face the Tennessee Titans.

The Titans were the last team the Texans defeated in Week 2 … in overtime. Doubt the Texans can win against them again.

Now with just one game left in the season to forget all we can do is look forward to is the hiring of a new head coach, and some new players to come in and give the team a spark.

Oh, there is the the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft to look forward to as well. How did I forget about that? That is about the only positive to come from this season.

I don’t care if the Texans played the Broncos close for over half of the game, they lost and continue to lose, and being close doesn’t count in the NFL.

Back to Manning, he finished 32-of-51 for 400 yards and four touchdowns. Two Broncos receivers finished with over 100-yards receiving with Eric Decker making 10 receptions for 131 yards (two touchdowns) and Demaryius Thomas with eight receptions for 123 yards and one touchdown. Julius Thomas had six receptions for 78 yards and one TD.

Now for the Texans … Matt Schaub finished with a “2013 Schaub-like day” … 18-of-37 for 176 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.

The two main running backs in the lineup totaled 59 yards with Deji Karim running for 30 yards and Dennis Johnson totaling 29 yards in the loss.

Andre Johnson had four receptions for 63 yards and Ryan Griffin caught five passes for 66 yards. Not bad, not great.

Now all we can do is look towards the season finale and see what happens. Only one more week until this season is put to rest. Hope everyone can all last one more week of this type of football.
