As for Washington State, strong safety Deone Bucannon is the No. 1 ranked SS on the Board. The 6-1, 215-pound senior is projected to be drafted in the second round, as he’s the 56th overall ranked prospect.

He’s been timed in the 40-yard dash at 4.57.

Bucannon was named a Walter Camp second-team All-American, and he’s the active leader in solo tackles in the NCAA and tied for second in interceptions for a career. Not to forget, he has 379 total tackles for his career.

Kiper wrote about Bucannon:

"“A riser on my board, he’s a willing hitter and takes great pursuit angles. Can get beat in coverage.”"

The Texans proved this season they need a lot of help in their defensive backfield, and maybe a player like Bucannon could or would help a defense that was injury-prone and underachieving this season. All I know is something has to change.
