The mood on Twitter this week varied in a variety of ways. There was anger over the Houston Texans’ 17-16 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. There was a mood of slight happiness over the way Case Keenum played in his season debut as the Texans’ quarterback, and there was more anger over the injuries to Arian Foster and Brian Cushing.

As I wrote in the rapid reaction, I know the Texans played better today, but a loss is still just that … a loss. There are no moral victories when your team falls to 2-5 overall on the season. Again, No. Moral. Victories.

The injury to Cushing seems to be the more serious of the two, and if the Texans lose Cushing for the remainder of the season … that would just make it that much worse.

Thank goodness the bye week is now here, because the Texans need a break and a chance to regroup, because there are still nine games left in the season.

Here are what folks are saying via Twitter.
