The Houston Texans fell in the CBS Sports NFL Power Rankings by Pete Prisco to No, 17 as the NFL senior writer for CBS released his rankings today.

The Texans are also No. 17 ranked in the ESPN.com rankings and in the Fansided.com power rankings the Texans fell to No. 18.

As for Prisco’s rankings, he said the following about the 2-3 Texans:

"How long can they keep Matt Schaub in as the starter? He is killing them.”"

Prisco’s Top 5 teams are the Denver Broncos, followed by the New Orleans Saints, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Indianapolis Colts and the Seattle Seahawks.

The Tennessee Titans are ranked 14th by Prisco, writing:

"At 3-2, they are in second place in their division, ahead of rival Houston. Can Ryan Fitzpatrick keep it going?”"

As for the fourth rated Colts, who are 4-1 on the season, the senior writer said:

"That’s a big-boy comeback win against the Seahawks. This team is 4-1 and proving they are a true contender.”"

Then there are the Jacksonville Jaguars in No. 32, again in last place at 0-5 overall.

I like the ranking by Prisco because he has the Texans where they need to be, and where they deserve to be just like ESPN did as well. Maybe Fansided has the Texans ranked correctly with their lower No. 18 ranking.

This team (Houston) needs to step back, take a deep breath and just play with no worries since they already trail the Colts by two games in the division standings. What can it hurt, because what they are doing right now isn’t working.
