DEFENSE
Grade: B+
I really liked the effort by the Texans’ defense. They kept the Texans in the game for as long as they could, but it was the offense and special teams who gave away this game.

Holding the Ravens to 236 yards of offense is a moral victory if anything else. J.J. Watt continued to do what he does, adding his third sack of the season.

The offense didn’t give their defense a chance this week, as the Texans had just one drive where they allowed a touchdown.

SPECIAL TEAMS
Team: C-

If not for the punting of Shane Lechler and the kicking of Randy Bullock it would have been a grade that could have had the Texans’ special team grounded. They allowed one touchdown on a punt return, but did score nine points off the leg of Bullock.

Lechler averaged 31.8 yards per punt on five punts with a long of 59 yards.

There is no doubt they need to fix some things, but it is only going to get tougher with the Seattle Seahawks visiting.
