Bullpen Bulletin: Houston Texans Want Arian Foster To Do It Again.

If Arian Foster was anything but a philosophy major, who strikes us as a deep thinker, we wouldn’t believe it when Foster says that he won’t be holding out for more money if and when the players are required to report to training camp.

Chron.com’s John McClain reports during his weekly chat that, “Foster says he’ll report instead of holding out trying to get a new deal. They (Texans) want him to do it again. Then he’ll get a new deal. Leach won’t be a holdout. He’ll get the offer he wants from another team or re-sign with the Texans. I don’t look holdouts to be a problem. They usually get their guys signed on time.”

Arian Foster who was last seasons rushing leader is due a mere $480,000 in 2011. This pales in comparison to other players who tend to lead their respected statistical categories. It’s nice to see a player actually play out the majority of his contract before demanding more money as soon as they have a great year only to the turn around the very next year and fall off statistically.

Arian Foster is signed through the 2011 season after initially being signed as an undrafted free agent after coming out of the University of Tennessee. Foster will more than likely be a restricted free agent in 2012 which then could be shown the money by Mr. McNair assuming Arian Foster does it again.
