The Houston Texans made life miserable for quarterback Fernando Mendoza and the visiting Las Vegas Raiders throughout the first half from Reliant Stadium.

An opening drive touchdown for the offense, a linebacker pick-six off of Mendoza and multiple long field goals by kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn defined the early portions of the contest. Along with that, Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud still looked sharp in the midst of the coaching staff still experimenting with the best offensive line combination it can find.

It seemed like regardless of whatever play was called, everything was clicking on all cylinders for the home team. As a result, Houston took a 20-3 lead into halftime.
