C.J. Stroud is the future of the Houston Texans and the NFL. After a marvelous rookie season, where he threw 26 touchdowns and just five interceptions, the sky is the limit for the Ohio State product. He's easily the best quarterback the Texans have had coming out of year one since they began as a franchise in 2002.
While he has some ways to be the best quarterback in franchise history, Stroud is well on his way. One of the reasons so many fans and experts are smitten with Stroud and his ability to take over the lead is his play. Yet, he wasn't the star he was his rookie year just because of his skillsets. He's also very intelligent. He knows not only the right thing to do on the field but the right thing to do off.
He's a pro's pro and someone who embodies all the variables that coaches and scouts look for in star players. So you'd imagine our collective surprise when Stroud recently went on a podcast and took aim at some of the biggest names in the game, namely Aaron Rodgers.
He took time out of his offseason to go on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, hosted by Gillie Da King and Wallo. Stroud, alongside his teammate Tank Dell, spoke about the current state of the NFL and when the topic of other pros came up, Stroud made sure to make waves with his thoughts.
We're looking at just three of the wildest things he said in that interview.
