Justin Reid

Justin Reid is the last of our three players. He was drafted by the Houston Texans in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft with the 68th overall selection. He played four seasons with the Texans before signing a free-agent deal with the eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.

Reid has totaled 398 combined tackles throughout his career. He started all 17 games last season for the Chiefs and recorded a combined 83 tackles. He's a good safety, not one of the elites, but the Texans could have a solid tandem in the defensive backfield with him and second-year safety Jalen Pitre.

Reid doesn't have any pro bow,l or All-Pro nods either, but he's still a good football player that the Texans could utilize. The Texans' secondary would be in good shape with free-agent newcomer Jimmie Ward and Petre.

All three of the players listed would be huge additions to the current Texans roster, particularly Hopkins and Reader. But that's all in the pas,t and this Texans team hopes to forge a new future, a new era with head coach DeMeco Ryans and hopeful franchise quarterback C.J. Stroud.
