Houston will benefit from having the weak NFC East to go up against, but the schedule will give and take from the Texans. As the Houston Texans sit pretty with a 7-3 record, a brutal lineup presents a tough task to take a game from any of these teams.
Given this team’s experience, the Texans could easily see another big losing streak that happened in 2021 happen once more. Weeks 12-16 will really decide how the season goes and will be the most critical stretch of the year.
If Houston doesn’t go 3-1 against the NFC East, the season will also be on loose footing, as those are mostly layup games besides the matchup against the Cowboys.
The only primetime game is Week 9 vs Philadelphia, another TNF matchup that really shouldn’t be one. The Week 6 bye week is just downright mean from the scheduling committee too.
Houston could easily do way better or worse than this. It’s a rebuilding year that no one quite knows how it will play out.
