Ranking all 32 NFL Quarterbacks after 2022 Free Agency
27th in the 2022 NFL Quarterbacks power rankings:
The interesting case of the Washington Commanders. They had something in Taylor Heinicke, who played Tom Brady tougher in the 2020 playoffs than anyone else. Heinicke also beat Brady again this year, so maybe a team in the NFC South should trade for him.
But they hit the abort button on that plan and traded for Carson Wentz. For what, though? It didn’t require the most considerable amount of draft picks, but those are draft picks that Washington could’ve used. Wentz now returns to the NFC East, where he holds a 16-9 career record against.
Maybe Wentz will actually throw the ball to Terry McLaurin, the team’s best receiver (fantasy football owners of McLaurin will agree). Curtis Samuel is returning and should be healthy this time around. It’s another team that is looking to shift the power balance in the NFC East.
