As he’s relatively young and still able to throw on the run, Marcus Mariota had recently been one of the more coveted backup quarterbacks. Instead, Mariota will look to throw more touchdowns to Kyle Pitts than Matt Ryan did.
Atlanta could’ve had a nice budding roster had they not lost Foye Oluokun to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Oluokun was the league’s leading tackler, while A.J. Terrell emerged as one of the better corners in the league.
If Mariota can bring the magic he had while at Oregon to Atlanta, this division won’t be a pushover for Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Who they select at the eighth overall spot will heavily influence their projected win total for 2022.
