Texans should draft one of these three QBs to backup Davis Mills
Second on the list of potential Davis Mills Backups: Brock Purdy, Iowa State
My personal favorite on this list is Iowa State Quarterback Brock Purdy. The Cyclones rose to stardom in his sophomore season where he put up 3,982 yds passing with 27 passing touchdowns.
While accumulating 249 rushing yards and 8 rushing touchdowns. Over his 4 year career with the Cyclones, he has 14,357 scrimmage yards. (12,170 passing and 1,177 rushing)
Purdy shows great ball placement, athletic ability, and solid accuracy. I think he’s a really good project as I think he could be a starter in the future, but he’d need to work on getting the ball out quick and his pocket presence. I project him to be selected around the fourth to the fifth round.
