Houston Texans can still sign these free agents to improve team
Melvin Gordon can shock the Houston Texans’ rushing game back to life
It’s hard to believe that Melvin Gordon is still a free agent, given that his former college quarterback now plays for the Broncos. Gordon split time with rookie Javonte Williams last season and formed one of the best rushing attacks that we’ve seen in quite some time. Williams and Gordon were the reason Denver had much of an offense at all.
Gordon himself had 203 attempts for 918 yards and eight touchdowns in that timeshare with Wiliams. Gordon would break that 1,000-yard barrier in Houston as the team’s lead running back, resulting in Gordon’s first such season since 2017 when he was a member of the Los Angeles Chargers.
While it’s possible that Gordon opts to back to Denver to play with Wilson, the chance to be the undisputed top running back in a franchise could lure him away to Houston. Gordon could have similar success to Lamar Miller’s when he spent his time in H-Town.
