Marcus Maye could help Houston Texans on the back end of secondary

Maye didn’t play for the New York Jets again after suffering a season-ending injury just six weeks into the 2021 season. However, that shouldn’t discourage anyone from looking at how well Maye has performed over the past couple of seasons, as he’s quietly been one of the best in the game.

In his entire career, Maye has allowed no higher than 53 percent of passes thrown his way to be completed. That number got as low as 47.6 percent in 2020. As a result, Maye would be a seamless replacement for Justin Reid if he decides to depart Houston.

As for the linebacking position, Troy Reeder could be seeking a big payday. A crucial part of the L.A. Rams’ Super Bowl LVI-winning defense, Reeder had 48 tackles, two sacks and two interceptions on the season. Despite winning a ring last year, Reeder could see Lovie Smith as an upgrade over Raheem Morris.

Reeder would thrive in Houston, along with the rest of these players as they make this article the king of wishful thinking.
