Houston Texans second-round pick: Kenneth Walker III, Michigan State

Yes, this is the second consecutive mock draft on Toro Times that has Kenneth Walker III going to Houston in the second round. Still, Houston cannot afford to pass up a playmaker like Walker III, as he was a legitimate Heisman candidate for most of the year.

Walker III would easily be the day one starter over Rex Burkhead. The speed and improvisational skills at his disposal make him the second-best running back in the AFC South after the tie between Jonathon Taylor and Derrick Henry (you choose).

Walker III gained 1,646 yards and 18 touchdowns like a runaway train. His most sterling performance came against Michigan this year when he had over 190 yards and five touchdowns.

Walker III has a bright future ahead of him, and with Neal most likely playing on the

interior of the offensive line, Walker’s success in East Lansing will follow him to Houston.
