The Houston Texans have finally won another game, beating the Tennessee Titans.
The Houston Texans not only beat the best team in the division but in the entire AFC. Going on the road and dominating the Tennessee Titans out of nowhere is one of the best moments of the season. When a team has a bad year as the Texans have had, there is always one game that the team wins in an upset fashion.
Houston was led by Tyrod Taylor, and it wasn’t through the air. Instead, the veteran quarterback did damage twice. Two rushing scores including this takeoff score to build a 12-0 lead.
The Houston Texans show a glimpse of what this team can do
Despite all of the coaching decisions and other questionable moves made during this game, it shows that Tyrod Taylor is still the team’s best chance to win a game. This was a sheer will kind of win, and even sweeter that it came over the Titans. Tennessee had beaten multiple playoff teams from last year and it looked like they were headed to the first-round bye.
“Any given Sunday” is still alive and well, and the Houston Texans kept it alive and well. The Texans welcome the New York Jets to town and not only have another chance to win but to *gasp* have a winning streak at the end of next Sunday.
No matter what happens, winning won’t affect the first-round pick that much anyways. Detroit isn’t going to give that spot up, so there really is no use in tanking when the quarterback prospects are not the best.
As Al Davis once said, “Just win, Baby”. That should be the mission of the Texans every week from here on out.
