The Houston Texans cannot afford to take the Jacksonville Jaguars lightly.

Just because the Jaguars were the worst team in the entire NFL last season doesn’t mean that this is game is a given. The Houston Texans must keep an eye out for three key performers for Jacksonville.

Urban Meyer leads his squad into Houston for the first real NFL game of his career. The same can be said for Houston Texans Head Coach David Culley, who finally after 27 years is getting a chance to be an NFL head coach. Meyer guided his team to a 1-2 finish, and Culley got the Texans to finish 2-1 on the preseason. Both teams claimed victories against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Texans are set to wear all white at home, as it is part of their “Liberty White Out” theme for the opening week.

When football returns to Houston on Sunday, how will these two first-time head coaches perform? What about some defensive players that have missed some time? Could we see a shootout? There are so many questions to ask in a matchup of two of the worst teams from last season.

One honorable mention that should also be noted during the game is the health of the Jaguars. They really got battered up by the New Orleans Saints in the second week of the preseason, including the loss of a first-round draft pick for the season. If the Texans can play a physical game, it may just be enough to get the first win on the season for Houston.
