5 Bold predictions for Houston Texans vs Green Bay Packers
The Houston Texans will expose the Green Bay Packers on special teams
As synonymous as cheese is to Wisconsin, so is the neglect of special teams to the Packers. It’s easily what has been a part of their “so close, yet so far” string of NFC Championship game losses. Now, how can that be? Well, go back a look at how those critical drives were set up. The 2014 matchup especially counts (Seattle ran a fake field goal for a touchdown to get back into the game).
This unit was so bad that they allowed a punt return touchdown to Keelan Cole of the Jaguars last year. That Jaguars team was led by Jake Luton and had Green Bay on the ropes late into the final minutes of the game.
Not only that, but the league’s best kick returner is now on the Houston Texans. That’s Andre Roverrts we’re talking about specifically. In fact, the last time Roberts faced the Packers he made a house call off of a kick return.
Roberts will do it again or at least be very effective in the return game to set the Texans up nicely.
