Houston Texans could fortify the heck out of the offensive line with David DeCastro.

This was another one of the more surprising cuts of the offseason. David DeCastro, the longtime Pittsburgh Steelers guard has been a free agent for quite some time this year.  The six-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro selection has been looking for a home. So why not Houston?

As mentioned before, the big money would have to be backloaded. Max Scharping holds down one spot. Meanwhile, Marcus Cannon shouldn’t be started above Lane Taylor. Enter DeCastro, the guard that would help make a great interior offensive line. Cannon becomes the odd man in this move as the Texans protect whoever is at quarterback this year.

The Houston Texans should give a call to the ninth-year veteran out of Stanford as soon as possible. DeCastro brings the grit from playing in Pittsburgh, the ability to pull and be the lead blocker on counter plays, and is a great teammate overall.
