Uncertainty continues to follow the Houston Texans around, as they are the only team without a head coach at this point. Uncertainty follows again as Executive Vice President Jack Easterby continues to have unplanned tricks up his sleeve at every turn of the corner.

With Eric Bieniemy and Leslie Frazier looking like the likely finalists for the Texans’ job, the team looks for a culture reset after the end of the Bill O’Brien reign. Expect a large deal of roster turnover this offseason, and look for an infusion of youth to be necessary in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Looking at team needs for Texans

The poor Texans have team needs littered all over their roster, yet they do not have the cap space nor draft capital to fill them all. With the seven picks they have, with their first coming in round 3, general manager Nick Caserio and his team have their work cut out for them. The Texans, however, could land more assets if they are to trade disgruntled quarterback Deshaun Watson, and likely land back their first and second round picks (plus more).

For now, they will use the limited draft capital they have to fill massive wholes off the edge of their defense, the interior of their defense, the interior of their offensive line, and more. After the apparent parting of ways with wide receiver Will Fuller, the Texans will also need a new deep threat. They could also look to add a new, dynamic running back given the failures of the Johnsons.
