Buckle up, it is going to be a long two months until the start of the new league year, the date the Houston Texans can finally trade superstar quarterback Deshaun Watson. Until then we are going to get rumor after rumor and loads of speculation. A new one has already continued to cook up regarding the New York Jets.

At this point it seems like we are looking about when Watson will be traded, not if. Rumors have seen him placed in Washington, Chicago, San Francisco, Miami, and now there is a ton of smoke pointing to New York and to the Jets.

Just today, Watsonโ€™s marketing agent posted a video on his Instagram of talk show pundits discussing how obvious it is that the quarterback wants to land in the Big Apple:

What a Deshaun Watson trade to Jets means for Houston

For the Texans, New York would be able to provide one of the better offers general manager Nick Caserio would hear. The Jets not only own the second overall pick, but a second first round pick. They also own an additional third rounder, and a potential replacement for Watson in the form of Sam Darnold. An additional first rounder would also need to be added to the package, especially if Darnold is not a part of the deal.

If Darnold is not a part of the deal, the Texans would then have Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields right in their sights. Fields, an additional two first rounders, and a day-two pick for Watson would be a haul if a team is forced to trade their franchise quarterback.

If the Miami Dolphins do not make a deal including Tua Tagovailoa, then what the Jets could offer the Texans may just be the next best thing. The new league year does not start until March 17th, so we have quite a bit of time to continue to speculate.
