The Houston Texans will be without their second option at running back.

There are some notable names on the Houston Texans Week 16 inactive list, including two running backs Duke Johnson and C.J. Prosise.

Though the rushing attack of the Houston Texans is the worst in the — yes, worse than the New York Jets — not having Johnson as a backup option and Prosise as another option for depth purposes will be tough for the Texans to overcome.

Also listed on the inactive players list for the Houston Texans in Week 16 are quarterback Josh McCown, cornerback Phillip Gaines, and rookie wide receiver Isaiah Coulter.

Players listed on the inactive list for Week 16 for the Cincinnati Bengals are: wide receiver Tyler Boyd, kicker Randy Bullock, linebackers Jordan Evans and Logan Wilson, and guards B.J. Finney, Alex Redmond, and Keaton Sutherland.

This game for the Houston Texans will be one where some of the younger players can get some regular season film, and more likely, it will be a game where Deshaun Watson will be on full display. He’s going to need to have another outstanding game to just keep the Texans in contention for the lead …. so basically like every week for the Texans.

This game isn’t one that is a must-win for the Houston Texans because they are out of the playoff talk, but they can at least see where the younger players stand on their current roster to see where they can be added into the game plans for next season.

The same can be said about the Bengals and this game as well, so expect to see players who might get more playing time than usual. This should also be a closely played game between both AFC teams as this is the next to final game of the 2020 NFL season.
