Houston Texans: Laremy Tunsil officially out vs. Patriots
The Houston Texans have issues at left tackle in Week 11 with Laremy Tunsil listed as out.
Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans will have some problems on Sunday in their Week 11 game against the New England Patriots as left tackle Laremy Tunsil listed as officially out due to non-COVID illness.
Tunsil is the most important player on the offensive line of the Houston Texans and him not being available to play for the Texans in Week 11 is worrisome for Watson. The already suspect play of the rest of the offensive line now includes the left tackle spot, meaning it could be a long day for the Texans quarterback. It will most likely be Roderick Johnson protecting Watson at the LT spot on Sunday.
This season Tunsil has played in 549 snaps, allowing just one sack and he also has just two penalties.
Also listed as out for the Houston Texans on Sunday are: quarterback Josh McCown, fullback Cullen Gillaspia, offensive guard Senio Kelemete, wide receiver Isaiah Coulter, and defensive end Nate Orchard.
Houston Texans News: Patriots inactives include Sony Michel
Gillaspia is out with a back injury, while Kelemete is still out with a concussion, as both players were listed as questionable on Friday.
The loss of Tunsil will make a difference for the Houston Texans against the Patriots, and it won’t be positive. Tunsil is the most dependable offensive lineman, and as stated before he’s the most important player in keeping the franchise quarterback Deshaun Watson safe.
As for the inactives for the New England Patriots in Week 11 include: running back Sony Michel, wide receiver Isaiah Ford, defensive tackle Adam Butler, quarterback Brian Hoyer, running back J.J. Taylor, ans defensive back Myles Bryant.
Johnson has a tall task ahead of him against the Patriots in replacing Tunsil, but at least the Patriots as a team have just 11 total sacks in 2020, so time will tell if Johnson can take the place of Tunsil for one week.
