The Houston Texans injury report was released with top players questionable.

Going into the week the Houston Texans had a number of injuries they had to deal with, and on Friday the official injury report included eight players who have been limited in practice this week or didn’t practice at all.

Some of the names like wide receiver Brandin Cooks and offensive tackle Tytus Howard are listed as questionable on Friday with Cooks battling a quad injury, and Howard battling an ankle injury. Cooks didn’t practice on Friday, and Howard was listed as limited.

Texans beat reporter Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reported on Twitter that Cooks and Howard will be playing Sunday per sources. The Houston Texans need those two players if they want to give themselves a chance to compete against the Ravens.

Last week, Cooks totaled just two receptions for 20 yards against Kansas City. The Texans were on the field for under 26 minutes, and the fact was Cooks wasn’t the top target, as those honors went to Will Fuller.

Cooks was added to the Houston Texans this past offseason as he joined the roster for a second round pick in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams. As for the rest of the injury report, the following players were listed by the official Texans PR twitter account:

Seeing some of the top names on the Houston Texans injury report  isn’t always a good thing, but it isn’t too much to get worried over just yet with Will Fuller not practicing on Friday, but it wasn’t a football related issue.

Others listed like Cullen Gillaspia wasn’t active last Thursday night as the fullback is dealing with a hamstring injury. Duke Johnson at running back is also listed as questionable, and he’s also an important part of the offense. Johnson was limited in practice on Friday, and also defensive end J.J. Watt was listed as limited too on Friday with a hip issue.

Now for the Ravens, their injury report for Friday included defensive tackle Justin Madubuike and wide receiver Chris Moore ruled as out. Jimmy Smith (CB), Justice Hall (thigh) and Ronnie Stanley (OT) as listed as questionable.

The Houston Texans need players on their roster who are on the injury report, especially the ones mentioned. For this team to get back on track early this season they need to have the proper starters on the field so they all become accustomed to being on the field all at the same time, whether it be offense or defense.
